Lauren McMillan
MS, LPC Colleyville Site Supervisor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling from University of North Texas in 2017. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults on a wide variety of issues including complex trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, personality disorders, as well as gender and sexual identity. I have experience working in a variety of settings, such as nonprofit organizations, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care that have helped shape my therapeutic approach.
I use a variety of modalities to best fit your personal needs, including CBT to help dispute negative thinking patterns, as well as DBT to help with emotional regulation strategies. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are both highly effective in treating PTSD and trauma.
I believe that a solid therapeutic foundation is built upon trust and connection and as such, I aspire to provide a warm, safe, and accepting environment for all. My therapeutic passion is to provide clients the necessary tools they need to build a life worth living.
